📺 Amazon Firestick & Fire TV Setup Guide

🎬 Download Required Applications
Enable Installation of Unknown Applications
Before installing an app outside the Amazon Appstore, you may need to enable installation from unknown sources.
- From your Firestick home screen go to Settings
- Select My Fire TV
- Choose Developer Options
- If Developer Options is not visible, go to About, select your Fire TV device, and press the Select button 7 times.
- Return to Developer Options
- Select Install Unknown Apps.
- Select Install Unknown Apps.
- Find Downloader and switch it ON.
Note: Menu names can vary slightly depending on your Fire TV model and Fire OS version.
Install Package Downloader App
Now you'll install a helper app that allows you to download and install your streaming application.
- From the home screen, search for "Downloader"
- Tap the app from AFTVnews
- Click Get or Install
- Grant all requested permissions when prompted
Install Apps IBO & Hot player
If you want to use IBO Player, follow these steps:
- Open the Downloader app.
- Enter the following Downloader code: 1171959
- Select Go.
- Wait for the IBO Player download page/APK to load.
- When the download finishes, select Install.
- Wait for the installation to complete.
- Select Done or Open.
If you want to use Hot Iptv Player, follow these steps:
- Open the Downloader app.
- Enter the following Downloader code: 395800
- Select Go.
- Wait for the HotPlayer APK to download.
- When the download finishes, select Install.
- Wait for the installation to complete.
- Select Done or Open.
Find the Installed App
After installation:
- Return to the Firestick home screen.
- Go to Your Apps & Channels.
- Select Go.
- Find IBO Player or HotPlayer.
- Select the app to launch it.
If you cannot immediately see the app, go to:
Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications
and select the app from the list.
Enter Your Activation or Service Details
When you open the player, it may display information such as a MAC address, Device ID, Device Key.
Follow the instructions provided by your legitimate service provider to activate the player or add your playlist.

Troubleshooting

- Check your internet speed (minimum 5 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K)
- Restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds
- Move closer to your WiFi router or use ethernet cable
- Close other applications using bandwidth
- Lower video quality in app settings temporarily
- Clear app cache: Settings → Apps → [Your App] → Clear Cache
- Verify your credentials are correct
- Check if your subscription is active
- Restart the application completely
- Clear app cache and data
- Reinstall the application
- Check your firewall settings (allow app through firewall)
- Contact support if subscription shows as expired
- Refresh channel list in app settings
- Wait 10-15 seconds for stream to load (sometimes slow to start)
- Try a different quality setting
- Switch to an alternative player if available
- Check if channel is broadcasting live at this time
- Report channel to support team - may be temporarily down
- Go to Settings → Storage Management → Clear cache for all apps
- Uninstall unused apps to free up storage
- Restart Firestick: Unplug for 30 seconds
- Update the app from Amazon Appstore
- Check Firestick OS is up to date
- Reinstall the streaming app
- For older Firestick models, consider upgrading to Firestick 4K
- Check your email for the account confirmation message
- Look for credentials in your order confirmation
- Call Us or email support with proof of purchase
- Streaming inherently has latency compared to cable/satellite
- This is not a technical issue - it's how streaming works
- Delay may vary depending on live event and server location
- Direct broadcast from source usually shows first, then streaming
- If delay is more than 1 minute, try restarting app
- Refresh EPG: Settings → Playlist/Guide → Refresh
- Wait 2-3 minutes for EPG data to load completely
- Restart the application
- Check internet connection (EPG requires good bandwidth)
- For Formuler/Dreamlink: reload M3U playlist with EPG URL
- EPG updates every 24 hours - some channels may be missing
- Verify your account has Canadian channel access
- Refresh channel list: Settings → Refresh
- Use search function to find specific channels (e.g., TSN, Sportsnet)
- Check if subscription includes Canadian content package
- SD Quality: 2-3 Mbps minimum
- HD Quality: 5 Mbps minimum (recommended 10 Mbps)
- Full HD (1080p): 8-10 Mbps minimum (recommended 15 Mbps)
- 4K Ultra HD: 25 Mbps minimum (recommended 50 Mbps)
- Multiple Streams: Add 5 Mbps per additional stream
- Test your speed: speedtest.net or fast.com
